After upgrading to Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard, iPhoto will not work
Some customers have found that they are not able to use iPhoto after upgrading to Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard. Often the solution is to force iPhoto to rebuild the library and repair or replace the preferences.
Hold down the Command and the Option key (⌘ - option).
Launch iPhoto with the keys pressed.
Release the keys, check ALL of the boxes on the screen and click "Rebuild".
If you have a lot of photos, you can now go make breakfast, as it may take some time.
